Our Bespoke Custom Ordering Process



We are a Custom Made Fine Leather Classic Style Shop from Huntington, NY. We make high-end original artistically detailed hand saddle stitched professional briefcases, satchels, bags and other leather goods. The custom ordering process is kept one-on-one between Joseph and the customer, like a traditional bespoke fine tailor constructing an individual suit.


We proudly build on Long Island New York and ship around the world.

ALL of Our Briefcases are Custom Made To Order! We do not like to store our Artwork.

When ordering from us direct we prefer our briefcases Fresh Cut for you right off the Hide to preserve the smell and luster of our crisp hand stitching, heat sealed smoothed edges, hand rubbed interior lining and smooth outer skin. Not only are they fresh cut, we buy our leather hides in small batches direct from Hermann Oak Tannery in St. Louis. They Tan (make) and Prepare our hides at the moment of ordering to our specific requirements. We keep small batches in stock so the rotation of leather is at its freshest available for us to produce a briefcase.

This is probably one of the freshest leather briefcases you can purchase - direct from Animal > Tanner > Maker > Customer in the quickest possible time frame. They were not handled on display in a store. All the middlemen and retail shoppes that sit on the product for months and years are cut out. When you receive the briefcase direct from us, the cuts and stitching were done within days.

This briefcase is made with you in mind and if we can we will blog out the progress in a photo set if requested. Here are some past examples of custom briefcases being made.

Production times vary depending on the season. It can be anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks to produce most bags. Smaller leather items have a shorter lead time from days to a week or 2. You can always email us to get an idea of our current lead time

We specialize in customizing our bags to customers specific needs. Some customers like to mix and match from existing styles and other ones come to us with ideas of their own. If we feel we can make it, have experience with that style, and it stands up to our commitment of excellence and quality, we will build it.


The Ordering Process is as follows: (most of the time you can check out with the simple mods right from that particular pages style)

Non Custom Ordering:

  1. Choose a style and Add it the Cart
  2. Checkout
  3. You receive an email to confirm the order
  4. If it falls out of the 3 to 8 week production time we will email you to confirm
  5. When the item is ready to ship you will receive a tracking number
  6. We can only ship to the address added in the beginning of the order
  7. The item ships with full insurance and will need a signature upon arrival
  8. You enjoy it, maybe write a review somewhere online and tell your friends

Custom Ordering:

  1. Choose an existing style, mix and match with other styles and add any modifications
  2. email (preferred way of communication) Joseph direct jp@jpmarcellino.com and he will let you know if he can build it and give you a custom quote on the price
  3. Custom orders still fall into the 3 to 8 week schedule
  4. When you agree to the quote he will issue an invoice link with the custom details
  5. Make sure you double check the details on the invoice page because it is only what we work from and not any email communications.
  6. Checkout from the invoice link
  7. An email confirmation is sent to you
  8. When the item is ready to ship you will receive a tracking number
  9. We can only ship to the address added in the beginning of the order
  10. The item ships with full insurance and will need a signature upon arrival
  11. You enjoy it, maybe write a review somewhere online and tell your friends

Depending on existing schedule we might be able to FAST TRACK your order 7 to 10 days for an additional fee.
